TREWAX Four Seasons Boat Wax is a long-lasting, year around, marine wax formulated with Brazilian Carnauba for durability and shine.

We recommend this as the most effective wax we've found and promote its use on new and like-new boats within their first years of use.

This wax has developed a strong following in the marine industry for two reasons.  First, unlike most carnauba waxes, TREWAX Four Seasons Boat Wax is easy to wipe on and easy to buff off. It does not require the hard rubbing associated with most carnauba waxes. Secondly, TREWAX Boat Wax can be applied in direct sunlight. Try doing that with most carnauba waxes and you'll have a mass of streaks, if you can remove the residues!

Trewax Four Seasons Boat Wax is our pick for waxing new and like-new boats by hand!

This wax, commonly regarded to be the industries best, is our pick for maintaining new and like-new boats in their first few years of service when waxing by hand or when direct sunlight cannot be avoided due to its ease of application and buffing.  For application using buffing equipment consider our 885 Fleetwax

There are two aspects of this wax's composition that make it the MyBoatStore choice in waxes:  First, the leading component is that this product contains the most real carnauba wax of any similar product in the industry.  Carnauba wax is the film-forming component, the one that gives weathering protection as well as resistance to wear from foot traffic.  The only modification made to this natural wax is that it has been treated to keep from yellowing and polymerizing with age.  In addition, it will retain its response to buffing indefinitely.  Secondly, this product contains a notable amount of silicone to provide added weather and water protection.

Application

Best results are achieved by applying this wax in very THIN coats, allowing the coat to dry and then buffing by hand or using a hand polisher.

If using a polisher, apply the wax using a micro fiber applicator bonnet, using a 1 inch putty knife, wipe some wax on the bonnet, turn on the polisher and allow the tool to apply the wax.  This method assures maximum square foot coverage per can, fairly uniform wax coverage for one coat, and most importantly, thin coats.  The application of a second coat gives optimum appearance after buffing and insures uniform film thickness.

The application of thin coats is important for two factors - 1.  the amount of carnauba wax in the product, and 2. there is also some polishing abrasive in TREWAX Boat Wax.  If the film left remaining on the surface is too thick, it may be visible and buffing may not remove  application swirls.
